Estimating Risk Of E-Gold Investments (HYIP-Autosurfs and Others)

Today I will show you some important factors that must be considered when estimating e-gold investment risk. You must realize, that proper estimation of risk is 90 per cent of success.

1. Admin's personal data. If an admin of program is an honest person he/she should not hide his personal data. It can be checked through any 'whois' service. If a domain is registered for some incorrect data, it should let you know that something is wrong. If the information seems to be correct, try calling the admin (its cheap with voip) and check if he/she is responsive etc. However, it happens that people use privacy protecting services, I do myself. It is very popular method of protecting privacy. Personally, I do not give up programs that use privacy protection.

2. Legal script. Those programs that are based on some sort of php script, must be run on legal copy. Most of HYIP scripts are made by GoldCoders and autosurf scripts are made by Neversay. It is very important that the site runs on a legal copy, its much safer and means that admin spent some money on building a program.

3. Graphics and language. High quality graphics is not cheap, it means that admin has money and is willing to spend it for the programs performance. You should also check the language of the page. Most sites are run in English, so that will be easier for you. Make sure that Terms of Service and every other texts are written in correct English, that there are no mistakes.

4. Contact. Admin should be responsive and supportive. Check the time for response by mailing him with some questions. Its good to ask about his investing strategies etc. You will now does he/she know what is doing and check his/her will to assist you.

5. Advertisement and popularity. When HYIP and autosurfs are concerned (e-gold investments in general), advertisement becomes one of the most important factors of program's and your success. Remember, the more new users (due to heavy advertising) the more likely you are to profit. Most of the admins are also present at the major forums and are willing to assist anyone there as well.

6. Admin. It might happen that someone present at a forum for a long time, decides to start his own e-gold investment program. Check his/her previous posts, try to learn something about that person. People, who are supportive for other members, are more likely to commit for the program's members. They will also be credited with much trust, what will result in cash flowing to the program, you should be there.

7. ROI. Return on Investment. The lower ROI the most stable the program is likely to be. However, programs with to low ROI are not going to interest a lot of investors. Nevertheless, such a programs will gain much attention after a longer time, especially if admin is very supportive. I would recommend putting your money in programs with low ROI. I will show you how to count ROI soon.

8. Age. The younger the program, the more likely it is to stay online for at least one full cycle. It can be your cycle if you manage to get in on time. I recommend joining young programs with high ROI, by young programs I mean those e-gold investments that are aged one or two days. It is likely that you will not loose your money and you should even make some profit. Especially with some referrals in your downline. However, with e-gold investments with low ROI, this is the opposite way. Older programs have a confirmed position and stability, thus people are willing to deposit their money, especially bigger money in such programs.

9. Minimal deposit. The programs with low minimum $1-$10 are most likely the ponzi scheme based programs. If admin is willing to invest the money, he/she should not be distracted with some small amounts of e-gold and should focus on investing what members have already deposited. Real e-gold investments start from about $100, but it shall not be considered a rule.

I hope that these rules for estimating the risk of your e-gold investment will be useful for you and will help you earn some money.

High Yield Investment Programs (HYIPs)

The number of High Yield Investment Programs (commonly referred to as HYIPs) have exploded with the advent of the internet. Typically, a high yield investment program is a investment opportunity that is run over the internet, and promises staggering returns of 1 or 2% per day or more. This translates into an annual uncompounded return of 365% to 730%, a figure that is unlikely to be possible by any legitimate investment program. I believe the vast majority of high yield investment programs are scams, and before you consider putting money in a high yield investment programs, you should do your due diligence and consider these points:

  • It is commonly believed that most high yield investment programs are Ponzi schemes, where the "interest" paid to existing members actually comes from money deposited by new members. As long as the program continues attracting new members, the HYIP will be able to pay its existing members, however, at a certain point, there will not be enough new members to pay off existing members, and the system will implode financially. Anyone who has money invested at this point will likely lose their entire investment.
  • Most high yield investment programs are very short-lived, and do not last more than 6 to 18 months.
  • Most high yield investment programs are located overseas, and do not disclose details about their location or management, and provide little contact information.
  • Some people believe that it is possible to make money from high yield investment programs by investing only in new HYIPs and pulling out their money early. This is at best a huge gamble and a very risky tactic.
  • There are numerous HYIP monitoring sites that track which high yield investment programs are paying, and which are not. These sites should not be completely trusted because it's possible for HYIPs to pay the accounts run by these sites so they can continue to appear to be "paying" programs.

My opinion is that most high yield investment programs are complex scams based on Ponzi schemes. This does not mean there are no legitimate high yield programs on the Internet, but if a program is paying a ridiculously high return, say 30 - 40% a month or more, then it is most likely typical HYIP and should be avoided.

If you are interested in alternative ways to generate a high-yield return on your money that does not involve HYIPs, you might consider the Legisi Return on Loan Program which I have used since 2005.

How to Protect your e-gold account - Especially important for HYIP and Autosurf investors.

HOW TO PROTECT PEOPLE STEALING MONEY FROM YOUR E-GOLD ACCOUNT

The biggest problem with e-gold is that if somebody steals funds from your account, it is almost impossible to recover them! If somebody gets access to your e-gold account then they can empty it immediately, load your money onto an anonymous ATM card and have your money in their hands within minutes. No matter how computer savvy you might be please read this article - many of my computer-savvy friends have fallen victim to e-gold theft.

I&39;ll list some of the least obvious tips first because I hope that veteran computer users will realize early in the article that they might not have done everything they could do. Major users of e-gold are people involved in the Autosurf / HYIP industry so I&39;ve written this article with them in mind. If you use e-gold for other reasons this article is still highly relevant.

Tip 1: DON?T TRUST ANY AUTOSURF / HYIP OWNERS!

Nowadays there are many fly-by-night autosurfs, and many of you will no doubt put a few dollars into them. Unfortunately it is extremely easy for anybody to set up an autosurf or HYIP company, to get a few dollars in from excited new members and then vanish. This article isn&39;t about how to select autosurf sites that are credible but I want you to be aware that when you join any autosurf you are giving the webmaster your email address, e-gold number and a password to login with.

ALWAYS use a unique email address for every autosurf you join with. If you don&39;t, then a dishonest autosurf webmaster might see if your username and password are useable in other autosurfs, they might test it out with your e-gold account, or maybe they might try to get into your emails, eBay or amazon.com account.

Tip 2: DON?T TRUST INTERNET EXPLORER OR ANY VIRUS CHECKER!

I?ve got nothing against the software itself. Internet Explorer might be the best program in the world but the problem lies with it being the most popular. This means that every thief who tries to attack your computer will be trying to find weaknesses in Internet Explorer?s security. Firefox is an alternative web browser and not only is it less open to virus attacks but it is also a very reliable and feature-packed program.

Any page you view when autosurfing may contain a virus or similar. If you are like me, you probably view the first sites in the rotation and then leave your computer to surf without you. Imagine the damage this could do if one or more viruses infects your computer during this time.

Virus checkers give people a false sense of security. Certainly they have a lot of uses but it is still possible that you will get a virus that is not recognized by the checkers. Sometimes programs that record your keystrokes aren?t technically viruses and they may slip through the net.

Despite my warnings about virus checkers it is still a very good idea to have one. Do regular scans and try to have the virus checker turned on at all times. Just don?t fall in to the trap of assuming you can never have a problem because you have a virus checker already.

Tip 3: USE COMPLEX PASSWORDS

Unless you are a high profile celebrity or government high-flyer it?s not likely that a determined group of thieves will take much time to guess your password. That said, it?s no extra effort to make your password a little more complicated.

Don?t use a complete word as a password. Force yourself to use a password with both numbers and letters in it. The practice of this will mean that your password will be harder for somebody to guess. Make sure you avoid the most obvious passwords of your pet names, mother?s maiden name or company name.

Tip 4: USE DIFFERENT PASSWORDS

It?s not possible to know who lies behind every website you visit. I know of a number of instances where a person has set up a website as a way of collecting usernames and passwords from its members and then trying the same usernames and passwords in popular websites such as eBay, PayPal and Hotmail.

One clever method that I?ve found is to create a formula that can create a different but easy-to-remember password for every site I visit. You could create a simple formula like this.:

abc + [number of letters in the websites name] +[last 2 letters of the websites name] + XYZ

so if we used this formula for Hotmail PayPal and eBay we?d have these passwords:

abc7ilXYZ for hotmail abc6alXYZ for paypal abc4ayXYZ for eBay

If you have a secret formula just for you, then you will always be able to work out what password you have used for every website. Anybody who sees the one password you use on a site will not be able to guess how the formula works elsewhere.

Tip 5: AVOID ENTERING PASSWORDS FROM YOUR KEYBOARD

This is the mistake Paul made. Without knowing it, and without the virus checkers spotting it Paul had a ?keylogger? program hidden on his computer. Every key press Paul made was recorded and sent to the thief. When he entered his username and password for Gmail, the thief was alerted to it immediately.

So how is it possible to stop this happening?

There are a few options for you here:

You can install a ?Password Manager? Program for your computer. The two best programs are AI Roboform (for the PC) and 1Passwd (for the Apple Mac). What these programs do is they store your passwords securely and paste them into your web browser when you need to. Both program are also excellent for storing your personal information and for filling in all manner of online forms. AI Roboform is extremely useful when traveling as it can be stored securely on a USB drive and used securely from internet cafes and shared computers.

If you need to type the password in then enter the letters in the wrong order. To do this lets assume your password is 123456 ( a stupid password for sure, but its good for this example). First we just enter ?234? in the ?password box?. Using your mouse, click back to the beginning of the field and type in ?1? and finally click to the end of the field with your mouse and enter ?56?. The reason for doing this is because if a secret program is recording your key presses it will not know that you have used your mouse to enter letters in the wrong order. The keylogger will get a record of you entering ?234156? which is obviously far from what your password is.

Tip 6 DON?T KEEP YOUR WELCOME EMAILS ONLINE

This tip would have saved my friend Paul a lot of headaches. He used Gmail and every time he joined a new website he?d receive an email which welcomed him to the site and reminded him of his username and password. Paul kept all of these emails in his Gmail account for reference. When the thief managed to get Paul?s Gmail password he must have been delighted to find all that information. He certainly made a lot of use out of it.

If you receive these kinds of emails, (and you probably do) get them off the internet! Print them out and store them in your safe, or use AI Roboform or 1Passwd to keep them securely stored on your computer. I hope that this article has been of value to you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

The software I highly recommend in this article can be found at: Firefox (PC and Mac) http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ AI Roboform (PC) http://www.roboform.com 1Passwd (Mac) http://www.1password.net . Martin Pavion is a professional autosurfer. Currently he is the forum moderator of 12by12daily - a popular and much-loved autosurf website. Download his free e-book at http://www.12by12dailypro.com . Otherwise please email me at autosurf@truepot.com as I&39;ll happily answer any of your questions.

To HYIP or not to HYIP

This article aims to educate people on why HYIP is right for some people and not right for others because of the risks associated with a potential for large profits.

To Invest In HYIP Or Not

Many people question why you would get involved in a high yield investment program, but really, the answer is simple. Extraordinary profit. While it's true that most high yield investment programs are high risk, they also provide the opportunity to make a large amount of money in a relatively short period of time. High yield investment programs are not for the weary or the timid as it's very high risk investing, but those who do take part are usually not sorry for the experience.

High yield investment programs, or HYIP is something that many investors simply steer clear of because they have heard horror stories or had a bad investment experience and don't want to risk losing their hard earned cash. But, being involved in an HYIP doesn't have to be a bad thing, and for most people, the results are well worth the risk that is involved in this type of investing.

HYIP is attractive for a lot of risk taking investors because they can invest with very small quantities. In addition, most HYIP programs are easy to get started in and follow even if you are relatively new to the investing world. Most HYIPs use a pyramid scheme, so that new investors actually provide cash to pay existing investors. As long as new investors keep coming on board, investors will continue to be paid. With a good high yield investment program this can work out, with poorly planned programs, you'll find that even the first payments are made fraudulently and things unravel fairly quickly.

Investors needn't worry about the fact that some high yield investment programs fall apart, because it's like any business, some succeed, and some fail. It's up to the investor to do his or her research about any one program and decide if it meets all the safe investing criteria. The thing about an HYIP program is that it can be here today and gone tomorrow if people stop investing, which is where a lot of the risk comes from when you invest in this type of program. But, if you get in on the ground level and pull out when things don't seem to be going quite as well, you can still make an extraordinary amount of money in a rather small amount of time.

High yield investment programs really took off with the introduction of electronic currencies such as e-gold. The reason for this is that investors can buy their electronic funds immediately and start investing right away. Often, these e-currencies can be purchased at a great rate as well, making them doubly attractive to investors. Once an investor begins to earn, he or she can cash out any time and will be paid in e-currency, which is then traded in for a cash value. Electronic currencies really brought the HYIP world to the investment forefront because it made the programs even easier to follow and interact with.

Like all types of investing, HYIP is not for everyone. Many investors believe that opportunities to get involved with an HYIP are just like deciding to throw your money away. Because of e-currencies, many people receive emails for various HYIP programs and consider them nothing more than spam from scammers who want to steal their money. In certain cases this may be true, in other cases an HYIP is a legitimate way to make a good return on even the smallest investment. It's all about choosing the right HYIP and knowing when to pull out if things start to get a bit shaky. If you are good at recruiting people to invest in the programs that you are interested in, than an HYIP may be perfect for you. So long as you can keep getting "referrals" or new investors, your HYIP will likely continue to pay well for a substantial period of time. It'll pay even better if the people that you recruit will also recruit, as it's a pyramid scheme that will allow you to make more money if more people get involved.

With an interest rate of around one percent per day, it's obvious that there is serious risk where an HYIP is concerned, but if you do the research, that percentage can add up quite quickly, making you a sizeable amount of money. If you aren't afraid of high risk investing, an HYIP may be the way to go. Just be sure to do your research ahead of time to take away a little bit of the risk associated with this type of investing.

Avoiding HYIP Scams - How to start with HYIP Investment

HYIP can be a great way to experience success in investing. HYIP, also known as a high yield investment program, can be quite risky but if it's done properly it can be quite lucrative. Because there is the chance to earn a substantial amount of money, there are also a lot of scams associated with it. You can take some great steps to protect yourself, and your investments ahead of time to avoid getting involved in the wrong HYIP programs.

Always get referrals and have information about the web owner before investing one cent. Ask for their name, where they are from, find out who the Internet address belongs to, and also ask for a business address. Feel free to prove all of this information correct, and do not proceed until all information is verified. If a web owner is hesitant to give you any or all of this information, it's safe to assume you'll be getting scammed and you should move on.

Take note of details. Most legit HYIP programs have a minimum investment of $50, but many of the scammers will let you invest for as little as one dollar, even though it'll cost more than that to maintain the account. Also, pay attention to the website, if it sounds scripted, you might want to move on to someone who has a site that is more than vague, is unique, and really seems informative and legitimate.

There are many more ways to avoid being scammed, but paying attention to details and asking questions is the best way to separate the good from the bad. Those who are well intentioned will be straightforward, knowledgeable, and will have nothing to hide or copy from others. So, go ahead and invest in HYIP, just be smart to make sure you are investing in a real opportunity.Michael Goldman is a top expert in the HYIP Investment arena, you can see last HYIP updates and ask your questions in the HYIP Forum. What are High Yield Investment Programs?

HYIPs are programs which pool together the funds of their
members to take advantage of investment opportunities,
like stock trading and foreign exchange (FOREX) trading
among others. These HYIPs attract funds from members
(known as "deposits" or "principal") by promising high
rates of interest payments, which explain why they are
termed "High Yield Investment Programs". Naturally,
the higher the promised interest rate, the higher the
risk borne by the members. This is due to the fact that
HYIPs pay off their members from the returns on their
own investments. Therefore, it is possible for the payouts
to exceed the HYIP?s own returns, especially when the
rate of interest payment is high. If such a situation
persists, the closure of the program would be inevitable
and members will stand to lose their principals.

Scams

A scam is a fraudulent business scheme and this is rampant
among HYIPs. Some HYIP owners abuse the trust of their
members by misrepresenting to them about their investment
strategy, when they have NONE. Consequently, they will
eventually run out of money to pay their members and most
of them just disappear into cyberspace, along with members?
hard earned money. Therefore, we hope to educate readers
by offering our humble advices on minimizing the
possibility of being cheated.

Ponzi Schemes

This is named after Charles Ponzi, an Italian who migrated
to the United States and became one of the greatest
swindlers in American history. His aliases include Charles
Ponei, Charles P. Bianchi, and Carlo. By paying off initial
investors with money obtained from the later investors,
Charles Ponzi managed to swindle $15 million from 40,000
investors from 1919 to 1920. This is how the term ?Ponzi
Scheme? was coined. You should be aware of the fact that
some HYIPs are actually pure Ponzi Schemes.

My Advice

1. Never join any HYIP that pays more than 3% interest
daily as it is next to impossible to afford such a high
payout on a regular basis.

2. Always do a Due Diligence check on the program.

3. Listen to what fellow investors have to say about the
program in the various hyip forums. Check if it has been
paying its members.

4. Diversify your funds by making deposits in several
reliable programs. This reduces the risk of loss you are
bearing. Even if one program shuts down, you still have
other programs as back-ups for you to recoup your losses
from.

5. Determine the coherency of the program?s investment
strategy. See if the owners know what they are talking
about and if they have a sound business plan.

6. It is not advisable to join a program that uses poor
language on its website. If the program has thousands of
dollars of deposits, they should be able to afford to
spend a few hundred to hire a professional publicist, or
at least someone with a decent command of English to
instill confidence among investors.

7. Just because the program is paying does not mean they
will continue to. Decide for yourself how long more the
program can sustain and whether it is likely for you to
make a profit.

8. Always read the FAQs and the terms of payment carefully.
You may discover some terms which may put you in a very
unfavourable position.

9. Invest only what you are prepared to lose. Expect the
worst but hope for the best. Be conservative when
calculating your profits. Do a scenario analysis. This
will put you in the correct frame of mind when deciding
the amount to deposit with a program.

10. Do not compound your interest until you have earned
your deposit back. This reduces the likelihood of you
losing money as some programs do not survive for long,
especially those without sound business plans.

For searching new HYIPs always use any good HYIP monitor
like http://www.thehyips.info . This information prevents
you from SCAM.
