The ABCs Of HYIPs

This article neither endorses or condemns getting involved with an HYIP, but if you're going to put your money into one of these, you should at least know what you are getting into and what's involved. That way at least you will be prepared for what may or may not happen.

First of all, HYIP stands for High Yield Investment Program. This is a program where the member signs up and, depending on the program itself, has to perform some daily or weekly routine. This could be viewing a number of web sites each day to reading ads. Each HYIP is different so please read the terms of the one you plan on joining before you join it.

To make money with these programs, that is also going to be slightly different from program to program but there is a general way that these things work.

For the most part, these companies sell what they call ad packs. You purchase an ad pack and your site is then displayed somewhere on the site. These ad packs range in price from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars depending on the structure of the site. The higher the price of the ad pack, the more your site will get shown, usually.

After you have purchased your ad pack you then agree to the terms of the site to either read ads or view other sites, or whatever they have you do. During that time, your ad or site will be shown to other members. This gives you a chance to make sales from your site. However, the main lure of these programs is that after a certain number of days, your ad pack gives you a certain return on what you paid for it. The returns range all over the map. I've seen them as low as 3% to as high as 24%. The average return these days is about 12%, paid out usually within a couple of weeks.

So let's say you purchased an ad pack for $10. After 14 days, the site may pay 12% on that and give you a check or credit for $11.20. You can take your money and run, or put it back into the company and get another 12% on it in another 14 days. Obviously, the more money you spend on ad packs the more you will get back.

You're probably wondering where they get the money to pay you 12% when most banks in the US today at best are paying you 3% in a month? Well, they get the money from several sources. One of them is outside advertising, but the main source is from members that come in after you. They pay you from their ad pack purchases.

This system works fine as long as new members keep coming in. Historically, however, as soon as there are problems in making payouts, membership slows, then stops and then the company folds. No HYIP to date has lasted more than a year, if that long.

HYIPs are risky because of this, but you can make a decent amount if you get in early and buy large ad packs, or whatever your site calls it. In the US, the federal government, for the most part has ruled that these HYIPs are illegal if they can't show a viable product. Other countries don't have such strict regulations.

Before getting involved with an HYIP, do your research on the company. Never spend more than you can afford to lose, as these can be risky.

The Secret Of Cracking An HYIP Program

Investing money to a High Yielding Investment Program (HYIP) is quite a gamble. Although you can earn heavy interest in no time at all, the stakes are surely high. Anything from 0.5% to 100% can shape up as the interest and return offered by HYIPs on a daily weekly or monthly basis. Fast and easy money is certainly on the agenda with High Yielding Investment Programs. HYIPs are available on the Internet in plenty and hang about anywhere between 1 day to 1.5 years. If worse becomes worst, you could even lose all or a portion of your principal amount if the concerned HYIP shuts down.

The one way to get out of risk is to expand your investment into a number of HYIPs regularly. And besides that, you cannot afford to keep any interest in your investment accounts for compounding. Removing them to your e-gold account is a wise thing to do. You can easily browse HYIPs from HYIP rank and monitor sites to get an idea about their authenticity. Some of these sites even sends catalogs of HYIPs with all the relevant comments, the payment standing on each HYIP and of course the rating. You must remember, that your investment and the consequent profit aren't guaranteed at all in case of HYIPs. There is every possibility that you can even lose the principal amount, so be prepared.

Take a note on some of the 'must do' things regarding High Yielding Investment Programs. Be dead sure of not having all your money into an undersized HYIP program. No matter how promising they may look at the outset, don't get lured away. If you are ready to invest a large sum of money then do make sure to enquire whether the company offers any capital security against it.

Invest your capital into as many programs as you can. It makes more sense to do the above than settling down with two to three small HYIP programs with huge sums. Remember, you need to focus on the plan and not the programs for that matter. As for smaller programs make it a point not to reinvest extra money before you have been paid back. Moreover, with HYIP programs it is advisable to plough back smaller profits from time to time.

High Yielding Investment Programs can provide you with anything between 0.7 and 5% per day to say the least. And as for the longevity of a typical HYIP, it generally does not go beyond one year. HYIP forums come along with rating systems. Programs that have short investment-durations should be preferred. Additionally, the programs that pay back the invested sum must be chosen. You will have to keep bad programs out of our way. Try to investigate through the sites before you plunge into any kind of investment. The fact of the matter is that you will have to steer clear of "too good to be true" offers.

Knowing about HYIP programs will definitely help you in a lot of ways if you are looking to venture in the field of investments.

HYIPS and other Online Investment Opportunities

The Upcoming series will require less work than Internet Marketing, but this doesn't mean that it works without work! Anyway, this will be the series for lazy people!

What is a HYIP? It stands for High Yield Investment Program. They became very popular in the last 2-3 years. What they offer is a much more higher return on investment (ROI) than banks or other well known opportunities do.

The first important thing for you to know about these programs is that most of them (popularly said 99%) are Ponzi schemes. This means that while they pay out to their investors they pay from the new investors money. This is like when a snake begins to eat himself from his tale. It works for a while but sooner or later when there will be no more fresh investors, or the program reaches it's desired profit it stoppes paying and the admin(s) suddenly disappear.

For example:

Joe invests $100 on monday to a program that offers 300% ROI in one week. Paul and Patricia invests $200-200 in the same program on Wednesday and Thursday. Now there is exactly $500 in this HYIP. From this amount our Joe will be paid on the next monday. He tells all of his friends and relatives to invest in this program because it will make them rich! Because of Joe's "work" lots of people invests on monday and on tuesday but somehow the program disappear on wednesday without any prior notice. Paul and Patricia will be...lets say unhappy.

So who made profit here?

1. Joe who got in early
2. The admin of the Ponzi

Of course this scheme is illegal but it is very hard to catch someone on the Internet, especially if the money which was lost, is not worth the investigation.

What I would like to say with this is that there is a big risk involved in all online investment programs! That risk cannot be made totally disappear. The only thing you can do with it is to accept that it is there and minimize it as much as possible. This will be done through proper investigation and risk management.

Luckily nowdays there are much more reliable programs, but they are still hard to find. These are mostly private programs where you can register only by invitation from another member. I will write about these programs in a whole article soon!

There are other investment opportunities too. I call them active investment opps. because they require you to learn some skills and experience to make money. Just a few of them: FOREX, COMEX, BET ON MARKETS, ALLSPORTSMARKET.

First time when I found a HYIP I began to think about how can it be possible to make that great profit without anyone on the world knowing about it? This is the question you should always ask from yourself when you find a new opportunity. There is a rule in the online community which is:

If something is too good to be true it is probably not true.

In my opinion this sentence can easily mislead anyone. Let me tell you why! Because it depends on what are your expectations, what you think and on your experience and previous knowledge. For example if your dream is to work from home and build wealth, that can be done! It is possible. But a program which offers 200% or more ROI/day is surely a Ponzi. So I would like to ask you to always think and decide on your own. Create a vision and make it happen no matter what! Do not listen to these skeptical and negative guys out there!

To give you hope I tell you that there are legal ways to make much more greater profit through Online Investments than a bank can ever offer. I will dedicate a whole article series to these opportunities. Just to name a few: FOREX, Sports Arbitrage, Online Stock Investments, Bank Debenture Trading, COMEX.

If done properly, online investments can be highly profitable! So lazy people, just like myself, should definitely read my following articles!

I hope you enjoyed reading!

High Yield Investments

High yield investments are investment programs that offer more potential for gain, but at a higher risk. High yield investment programs or HYIPs work on one of the basic principles of investing: the higher the risk, the greater the potential for gain. Some of the investors choose to invest a small amount of money in these high yield investment programs. This practice allows them to take advantage of high returns by putting a small investment at risk.

A major issue faced by high yield investment programs is the involvement of a large amount of money placed at risk for a high potential gain. Many investors are looking for quick, substantial gains and therefore, though they could start with a lower sum, they choose to invest all they can. These investors calculate the maximum amount of money they can afford to put on risk in order to take advantage of the high potential return. Some investors go as far as investing more than they can afford, though this is not recommended.

Another issue is that some of the high yield investment programs are well-disguised fraudulent schemes that are designed to rip investors off. Such HYIPs are illegal. Therefore, it is recommended that investors do a thorough background check of the group or person presenting the investment. While investigating, investors must also check if the investment company has insured the investments of its clients. This further establishes the credibility of the company.

With HYIPs, another possibility is that they may not pay as well as anticipated or may not pay at all. Therefore, experienced and smart investors prefer to put only that amount of money in HYIPs that they can afford to loose without major consequences.

To combat various issues related with high yield investment programs, experts advise to diversify the investment portfolio, as there is no real way to cushion the investment.

Making a Living From High Yield Investment Programs

This is probably one of the most asked questions we get. "Is it possible to Make a living off of HYIPs?" The answer to this question is both "Yes," and "NO". Let us explain.

"YES" people can make a living off of HYIP investing. If they have the skill the drive, and the ability to recover from major losses. In theory, it is possible and often times probable to make a good living ($20,000-$50,000) per year in the HYIP arena. The problem is however, that in order to do this, the investor needs to take a major risk. Without the financial backing in case of bad investment decisions, many individuals do not and should not even consider making HYIP investing a career. This brings us to why this question can also be answered "NO".

"NO" people can not make a living off of HYIPs unless they are extremely skilled, and are already in a good financial situation. This can be said however for stock market and bond market investing as well. If you have half a million $'s then sure, you can live off of the earnings you make in the stock and bond markets, or turn to the more risky HYIPs to earn even higher returns.

The point of this article is to show that usually if you are looking to make a living on HYIPs, then you probably won't (and should not) be able to do it without risking a very large portion of your assets. On the other hand, those people who have a great deal of money and are not looking to make a living since they have more then enough funds to live off of, are the people who can make a living off of HYIPs. If you are desparate and looking for quick cash, then you should not be investing large sums of money in this arena, however if you are wealthy and looking to increase your wealth and have fun, the HYIP arena may be right for you.

In conclusion, those looking to make a living in this arena are those that probably won't, while those people who are not looking to make a living in HYIPs are usually the ones who do, but don't need to.Owner of some of the Largest Online Investing forums which include:

How To Improve Yield On Short Term Cash Investments

Today, the returns in the investment market are modest. Hence, one must focus on maximizing the short-term cash investments? performance, to derive voluminous benefits from investments. Investing in short-term cash bonds is a wise option, as they yield higher returns and preserve the investors? capital and liquidity. Moreover, the rising interest rate scenario imparts such an instrument added attraction. This is because in the rising interest rate environment the yields on such bonds more than offset the depreciation associated with the bond price that is driven by the rising interest rates.

Features of Short-Term Cash Strategies:

Such strategies are designed keeping in mind that the investors might need the money in the near future. Therefore, the cash needs to be invested in income securities that have low risks and are readily marketable. Investors have a variety of options to choose from when it comes to investing in short-term cash bonds.

There are negotiable CDs that offer the investors perfect liquidity. They offer the investors flexibility of redeeming their investments, whenever necessary, at face value or at par. This is a great advantage, as the investor may need those assets within a short duration.

Typically, such short-term cash investment strategies are available in the market for one-year duration or even less. Such a duration of the investment means that the net value of the asset does not fluctuate by more than a percentage point for one percentage point fluctuation in the rate of interest.

Short-Term Cash Investment Yield Greater Returns:

Such investment strategies yield higher returns taking advantage of the four structural inefficiencies of the yield curve. Investors can increase term premiums on their investments by expanding their portfolio?s duration. Such a tactics improves the performance of the investors? portfolio and does not possess any risk of negative returns.

Prefer greater spreads for getting higher liquidity premiums on the bonds. Securities such as floating rate, callable corporate securities, and adjustable rate mortgages are not readily bought in the secondary market, and therefore pay their investors higher yield premiums. Since these securities have short durations and comprise only a small portion of the entire portfolio, investors can hold them to maturity with minimum risks.

Credit premium yields ban be improved by diversifying the holdings in such a manner that it consists of both high-quality and low-quality securities. A careful bled of selected bonds into the portfolio increase the possibility of higher yields and lowers risks because of diversification. Investors who can withstand high fluctuations in principals can benefit from volatility premium. They however have the option of paying an excess premium to obtain stable prices.
